In 1981, after a military transfer to Japan, she worked in education at Yokohama International School. She also taught English and worked as a counselor for the Naval Alcohol and Substance Abuse Program. Upon returning to the US in 1984, she spent the next 11 years working for Computerware, Inc. in human resources, and accounting. During that time, she gave birth to four children!
After the sale of Computerware in 1995 and a family move to Westwood, MA, she and husband, John, started IntePros Consulting in late 1996. She ran accounting and human resources since the beginning and has been involved in all aspects of administration, governance and strategy through out the Company's 14 year history. Computerware grew to over $100 million in sales in 1995 when it was sold to Catalink Direct, an electronic commerce PC reseller. John served as President of the $600 million combined Company and participated in an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the renamed company, Elcom International (NASDAQ "ELCO"), in late 1995.
After completing the Computerware - Elcom International transition, John and his wife, Loren started a new venture in systems integration and outsourcing of Information Technology (IT) professionals with IntePros Consulting. By combining their technology background and the public company experience they acquired at Computerware and Elcom International along with John's leadership, precision and aggressiveness discipline from 10 years of Naval Aviation, IntePros has achieved great success as an IT professional services and systems integration firm.
